The characters likeness and voice were provided by Samuel Witwer, who would later voice Darth Maul in Star Wars expanded media.
Starkiller also appears as a crossover character, along with Darth Vader and Yoda, in the fighting video game Soulcalibur IV, which was released before The Force Unleashed and included the character as a contemporary tie-in. Starkiller has mostly received positive reviews from critics.
